Brancheforeningen for Tech Startups opens for members
A new organisations for tech startups in Denmark has been founded!
Finally we’re united and speak with one shared voice. The requirements, challenges and opportunities for growing a startup are vastly different to running an established organisation, therefore we’re not represented by the traditional business unions and our voice is not heard. That is a problem, because it’s the new companies that create the majority of jobs.
I urge all tech startups with danish offices/HQ to sign up and support the organisation, also to give yourself a chance to be heard.
The purpose of the new association is:
The real work is ahead of us. But I’m proud of how the community has risen to the challenge with this grass root initiative. Many people have been working for this and all deserve a ‘thank-you’. Among the primary drivers I’d like to thank Esben Gadsbøll, Klaus Nyengaard, Pia Elmegaard, Eske Gunge, Zenia Francker and Jeppe Rindom. Many hundreds of pro-bono hours has gone into making this happen.
You can see the full list of 50 co-signers to the original proposal (of which I was one) and the main purpose of the organisations here
It’s inexpensive to join, in the hope that many startups from all over the country will sign up on www.techstartups.dk
